How it works
1. Upload in chunks
Your file is split into POST /api/v2/chunk-… parts, so a 400 MB video survives mobile networks.
2. Transcode farm
Workers pull jobs from GET /api/v2/status and transcode with hardware acceleration.
3. Download & forget
Link lives 24 hours. Originals never used for training.
FAQ
Is it really free? What are the limits?
Yes. Up to 500 MB per file, ~10 jobs/day per IP. 1080p max on the free tier; 4K jobs are queued with lower priority.
What happens to my videos?
Jobs run in isolated containers, served over TLS only, and both source and output are wiped 24h after upload. See Privacy.
Which browsers are supported?
Any modern Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari. Upload resumes on Chrome/Firefox via chunk retries.
Do you have an API?
There is a limited partner API (/api/v2/formats, /api/v2/status). Write to api@bg-vid-convert.site for a key.
